Dear Colleagues: The City of Long Beach is proud to host the 30th Annual California Police Chiefs Conference from February 25 – March 1, 2007. Long Beach is experiencing a tremendous renaissance in so many areas. We are excited to share with you the renewed energy and vitality of our City. The Long Beach Police Department takes tremendous pride in being on the cutting edge of law enforcement and we are looking forward to your participation in this year’s conference. One of the CPCA’s main objectives is to promote and advance the science and art of police administration and crime prevention. This year our conference theme is “Tactics, Technology, Training and Teamwork.” Our goal is to provide you with well-rounded, relevant information to help conquer the challenges we face within the law enforcement community. At the Long Beach 2007 CPCA Conference, we will offer a wide array of events and entertainment for conference attendees and guests alike. I look forward to each year’s conference as an opportunity to renew our professional relationships and to discuss and enhance strategies our agencies have implemented. We learn from each other and I am confident everyone will take with them new and innovative ideas, and a renewed sense of commitment to making our communities safe places to live, work and play. Sincerely,
Anthony W. Batts |
